26th May 2018 Men get hornier in spring, but is this also true for women? ‘Professor’ Love muses…. I’ve often wondered whether humans, like animals, have a mating season, or are we just horny all the time? Many of the different animals that we share our planet with have a limited amount of time in which they can mate and reproduce (that means shagging, dear reader). For example, Pandas can only cop off between March and May, as that’s when the females are fertile. Just imagine how frustrated all the male Pandas must be! Humans on the other hand are blessed with being able to mate whenever they like, meaning all year-round bonking takes place. Of course, there are patterns that show us humans are more amorous during some periods of the year than others, particularly spring and summertime.
* More sunlight – this has a direct health benefit, which is linked to increased libido. Sunlight also increases our happiness levels, which means lust for all things sexual also increases.
